I visited Lake Gaston many times while growing up in Tarboro and moved to the area in 2009. With a BS in Business Administration and a MBA in accounting I have over 10 years of experience in the emergency management response and recovery arena as well as a housing construction background.
These backgrounds, along with excellent communication and analytical skills help contribute to my ability to offer creative problem-solving solutions.
While I love bright, tropical colors, I will do my best to help you bring out your style and help you create an environment that is reflective of your own dreams.
I am a Bocce Official for Special Olympics and officiated games for North Carolina, Virginia, National Games and World Games. I also volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Bagel and Ginger are my sidekicks. Don’t be alarmed when they greet you when you visit us.
“Bye Bye Beige! Bye Bye Emptiness. Hello Friendliness! Well, I think you’re gonna smile! “ (paraphrased from “Bye Bye Love” by The Everly Brothers)
As you can tell, I love oldies music, I love color, and I love making a space feel welcoming with creative techniques. I have worked in the design industry since 2006, but have been drawn to all things “artsy” for as far back as I can remember. Painting, wood working, sewing, ceramics, sculpture, glass, dance… you name it, I’ve probably tried it. Most of all, I love getting my hands dirty and figuring out a challenge.
Through all of my creative endeavors, I am first and foremost a very happy and blessed wife and Mama. My little man, Ethan, never ceases to make me smile. I am also the very proud puppy mama to Oscar and Olive.
I am a retired educator who loves people! I live at beautiful Lake Gaston with my best bud, my Golden Retriever Lee. I have two wonderful sons that make me proud every day.
Helping people is my passion, whether it’s helping them discover the beauty within, or the beauty of our world around us.
I am a football fan – if someone is playing I watch.
